Hartnet

 

Our fourth TOADSTOOL® Amaro, Hartnet, finds it’s core flavor from a deep vein of chocolatey carob. Named for the path to the majestic Cathedral Valley of Capitol Reef NP. We worked with two new botanicals on the bittering dimension: Holy Thistle and Quassia wood. These high character botanicals play against cassia bud, cardamon, and sarsaparilla on the aromatic side. A balanced honeyed finish rounds out this profound and complex flavor experience.

Flavors melded beautifully for 6 months in ex-whiskey cask.

 

Tasting Notes

Nose: Cocoa and honey

Flavor: Profound but not overintense bitterness wrapped in exotic spice, expressed in a layered lingering honeyed palate coating warm piquancy.

Proof: Bottled at 40% Alcohol / 80 proof. No colors added.
